Too hot, even for raccoons!

Their name escapes me.... I knew it when I loaded up the photo, then it ran off... Seruti?? Senetti??? Hey ho. Those purple things in my garden, anyway. They're doing rather well.

Thank you for all your kind messages after my last post.

I am still quite lethargic of late, and it's hard to have some get up and go, but I'm trying :)
The bright days help, though it's getting very hot here! In London it's 90 degrees F. and it's almost that here, too, London being about 50 miles away. Very humid.

Today I read on the BBC news website that they are feeding the raccoons ice lollies at Drusillas, a wildlife centre in East Sussex that I once visited. Ha! Here's a link to the report, with photo's, and a short video of the raccoons! Hope it makes you smile!

-They are also rubbing suncream onto the tapirs, apparently!
I once read that if you have a white cat you need to apply it to their ears or they'll burn, so if any of you have snowy moggies, get your sunblock out and start sharing!

  4. Lovely flowers :-)

Yes you have to keep cats ears protected from the sun. A poor old kitty who used to live next to me had to have his ears removed due to cancer from sitting to long in the sun!

  7. Hi dear Helena! I'm afraid we here in Michigan, USA have your cool and cloudy UK weather! It's been tempting to get out the Halloween decorations!
At least with the warmth your joints won't hurt as badly. Your flowers are just so pretty! Like you! :)
    Lots of hugs,
