Coming back soon!

Hi all!

This is a recent pic of my cat, Fluffy, using me as a sofa.

I hope I can get back to drawing again soon. There never seems to be enough hours in the day or enough room in my head lately. But I seem to feel a change coming on, so please bookmark me and come back soon!

Thanks for all the encouraging comments.

In December, I made packs of "notelets" using scans of my cat pictures and sold them at £1 a pack for a local Cat Sanctuary. They all sold out at a Christmas Bazaar. It was great! Thanks for all the feedback, without which I mightn't have had the confidence to make them...

I hope you manage to do some more soon. You have a real talent. Don't waste it, will you!

(I suppose that Bear is taking up a lot of your time...)

LOL! That's ok I know what you mean- I have enough trouble recognising my next door neighbour in her own driveway, let alone people in cyberspace!

I do love your paintings. There's a link to them on my blog, I hope others find them.

Hi Helena! No I don't mind one bit :-) I don't draw my cats all that often, mainly because they don't like it. I do sneak up on them sometimes though... Mab

Hi Marit, I've added a link to your blog at the foot of mine.

Hi Helena - sorry it took me so long to get back. Your work keeps getting better and better. I love it. Those eyes are always mezmerizing (sp?). If I sent you some photos of my Tucker would you draw him? You could take your time. I want you to do your homework first! I sound like your mother, but you know what I mean...

Love ya, Beth

Hi Helena,

Wow, you are blessed with many talents. The Jack Russell artwork is terrific.

Let me know when you update the site. Am just about to post a link on my blog.

Wonderful stuff.

David

Thank you David!

I don't know why it is that I can't get round to drawing something new for the site. It was my intention to do one a week.

I had been using really cheap pencils. Then, for Xmas, my paartner bought me some Derwents- about £40 for a set. He got me two sets.

Since then I haven't drawn a thing.

Funny, when he suggested them for my birthday in November I had a hunch that it would put me off drawing, so he didn't get them. Then he got them for Xmas instead.

Isn't it weird that they had this effect? You'd think I'd pounce on them hungrily and draw all the more!

I don't understand my own brain!

But I have collected a couple of pictures here that I am looking at doing..... I really must have a go.

I'll certainly let you know!

Thanks again,
Helena

Bob's Mum!

Why have I not been here before? Please, please come back and draw some more. I just posted an old cat painting of mine. - Not an old cat, but an old painting of a cat.

I'm a cat lover.

Yup, Chewy, this is Mama. Don't worry, we're all nagging her to draw something.

Now we know you're a cat lover we'll add that to the pressure....

Isn't it always the case, the only people who have faith in you, is anyone but you? What poem is appearing in this anthology? I'd love to see it.. or is that not allowed (sorry, I'm really clumsy around these things, I simply don't know any better)?

Thank you ALL for your messages, both here and in emails. You sort of kept the blog alive (or at least, non-deleted!) in my absence!

I hope you like the new look....
