Hedgehog appeal!!! CAN YOU HELP??

**this post will stay at the top for the summer; please scroll down a bit for new posts!**

I've volunteered to man a stall at some summer events, to raise money for Hedgehog Haven, a local charity that helps hedgehogs. There will be a tombola and also a bric-a-brac stall with a hedgie theme.

I have a few 'Penny Black' hedgehog toppers that I'm going to make into cards to sell on the day, and I wanted to ask stampers and crafters and artists out there- can you spare something to put on the stall for the hedgies??? Even just one picture or card, a few bookmarks maybe, or something drawn or stitched???? If you can spare anything, please drop me an email for my address. The hedgies will be very grateful!!!!!

**THANK YOU!!**

ps:

Mum just read this post and said that I should make sure you know that I don't want any actual hedgehogs sent in ;)

Haha, your mum is a treasure! Aw, I like our hedgehogs far too much to send them in, anyway! I can't draw, paint, craft or even sing for toffee - ooh, I can make Tablet (a Scottish sweetie), and bag it up - will that do?

OOO yeah, anything at all, Shrinks!!!

Oh what a brilliant idea!!! I don't have any hedgie themed stuff but I'll see what I can dig out for you!!

That's an excellent idea, I have to help the Belgian hedgehogs first, we also have a protection association. Sometimes I have on in our garden and I feed him with cat food that's very good for them.

Hi Helena. Brilliant cause and I'll certainly dig out my hedgy stamps and put thinking cap on. Couple of questions, what's the date you need stuff by?
Also, would you be OK if I add a link to this from my bog....ha, ha...typo, I meant bLog!! It's just that I already post a bit about hedgies in our garden and there are a few hedgie fans out there who could well help out too:)) Di xx

Hi chuck - do you think some jewellery would help? I can send you some of my creations if so.

Beanie,

THANKS Beanie!!!!

***

Gattina,

I don't put out cat food for them because Scooter would just eat it! But I do get a bag of special hoggie food, which has seeds and meaty biscuits and dried fruit in. They are very noisy little sniffers, aren't they?!

***

Di,

Yes of course you can do a link, so long if my heavier stuff doesn't upset your readers :o

I don't have any dates yet. I suspect the end of term would be the first... school fetes etc ;)

Annie!

Aha! I shall have to come and investigate you!

***

CJ,

Gosh, jewellery would definitely help if you can manage that!!! Thank you!!!

Hi Helena, thanks for your comment on my blog - Leo I think will grow up like your Scooter!! I looked up Figs to see how like her Monty is and you're right they are so similar, I do love her wall art - Monty is still trying to destroy the sofa, what a pair they would have made if they had met! I'm so sorry you lost Fluffy recently too, after so many years it's so hard to cope with the hole they leave behind. We'd only had Archie a little over a year when we lost him and I still can't get over him at all, I don't think I ever will because he was so very affectionate, not like any other cat we had. I'm glad you're trying felt - I miss it very much but have had to stop while I try and sort my mum's house out, sadly no time for blogging often either but I do hope to get back to being creative one day xx

What a lovely thing to do. We have had a family of hedgehogs in our garden again this year. A mum and two babies. They certainly liked the cat food I left out for them.

Nice to see someone else from Colchester.
