More pootling....

...So I cropped that picture thingy I did the other day, and made it into a card:Watcha think?
Certainly looks better smaller, I think.
I punched the flowers out of some of the remaining paper. I only did 6 as this punch is INCREDIBLY hard to press down! I hate punches like that! I think you should be able to try them out in the shop. LOL!

Looking out the window, I spotted this wee fella on the rosemary. Wasn't sure if he was nimbling seeds or insects. Cute, isn't he? Wouldn't pose properly for me though :)...that little distraction got me to dig out this, which I bought about a month ago and still hadn't done anything with. It's a big sheet of gift wrap from Paperchase. Decent weight paper, too, and tons of it for £1:OK £1 is a lot for a piece of wrapping paper that will end up torn up and ignored, but not if you use it in other ways. I've seen craft stamps around with similar bird cage designs on, and this is a much cheaper option to those! Here's the card I made with some of it this afternoon. I used bird stamps from my growing collection of stamps received free with magazines :)I quite like it :) Here's the inside:
Next, here is one I put together as an anniversary card for someone. Can't say who in case they come here and see it. Ha.I had the topper ready a few weeks ago, so it was just a case of deciding on a background. In the end I thought just using a plain brown card was enough. Some swirls inside and a 'congratulations' stuck onto it:
It was nice to do a bit of crafty pootling. I am feeling EXTREMELY hormonal (horMOANal?) right now and I needed calming down. LOL!

Finally, I had run out of blank ATCs. Rather than buy some I thought I'd just cut up some card. They have to be 3.5 x 2.5 inches. Yeah, I know, if I have lined them up I'd have got more out of a sheet of card. But where's the fun in that?I coloured them all with ProMarkers and cut them out. Now I have a wee pile of multi-coloured blank ATCs. Far less frightening than a blank white canvas. You never know, I might even produce some completed ones some time.
Wouldn't it be nice to get a swap going?
Hmmm... I wonder if we could so that... any ideas?

Beautiful, creative cards as always, Helena! I have just started making cards - I am nowhere near your level - but I'd love to take part in a swap.

Hi Helena!

Just love your creativity - all these cards are a delight.
Haven't done any carding myself since the Christmas exchange but you do inspire me to try again.

DO envy you your sparrows, none in my garden anymore & use to have flocks.
When I baked for a living couldn't make enough crumbs to feed them all!

Love
Blue

Angel, I think it was a male house sparrow! Bob is right- barely a mouthful! LOL!

Bob, Don't boast! It isn't nice!

Sandi, thankyou Sansi you always say lovely things that cheer me up :)

Feronia, what on earth do you mean 'my level'? LOL! I only started last July. I just make it up as I go along. I found I couldn't do cards like the ones on other sites I found so I stopped trying, really, and just do what looks right to me now. Just go with it and enjoy it. A card swap would be great!

Poopsie Blue, Maybe they stopped coming because you stopped baking! We don't get may sparrows either. And no greenfinches at all. We got more when we moved here, just 5 years ago, so I don't know what happened. Except that lots of people around us have cut down trees and hedges. I reckon that must have had some effect.

Sandy, thank you so much for the vote of confidence!

Dearest Helena! What a stunning card you created out of your doodle! So purrrrfect for cat lovers. Might I ask if I could feature it on my blog when it get closer to my upcoming ...oft postponed due to illness and sugeries, wedding to Mickey the black cat? It would make a wonderful announcement for the wedding also. The announcement would be virtual of course. If you agree...I would be delighted and purrr in your ear until you are happy and smile once again. Mommy told me that you are a little down....boy do we understand that here at the cozy cottage. Mommy has so many of the same fears and worries. Often she is on the verge of tears for no real good reason...just because she thinks too much about the future, or me being sick again or our beloved Lapdaddy working himself too much. She worries about too much stuff...like you, she has her tender ups and downs.
We want you to know how much we care and love you....it is hard being a caretaker of a mommy. You have so much to do now getting your mommy moved...but it will be very rewarding once all is done and in place. We have been there before also. That is how I came to live with my mommy here.
Take heart knowing that we care...you are a beautiful highly talented lady who gives us hope and inspiration with your honesty.
All our love...from the cozy cottage, Miss Peach>(^,^)<
