Cards are winging their way... slowly!

Grumpy woman in the post office today, when I presented lots of cards and packages for abroad, said,

"You DO KNOW that you've MISSED all the last postage dates, I take it?"
-like some dreadful headmistress!!!!

Good grief! What was the point of telling me that? I felt like saying, "OK don't worry then, I'll go home and trash the lot instead." ????????????
SHEEESH!!!!! I know she must be tired, but still! I'd been in the queue for 15 minutes and my back was starting up, but I still managed a smile so why couldn't she? She was sitting down and had a cup of tea next to her! Grrrrrrr..........

Anyway- so my cards and pressies are in the post.
If I have your address you'll most probably be getting one- unless I've lost it since last year or you moved! But it seems that if you're outside the UK you might not get yours till the new year. Oh well! It'll be a wee post-Xmas extra for you! Hope you like them- eventually!

She was a grump. I might not have been as nice. I might have replied 'Why, Yes, I do know I missed the deadline, If you had had the month I have had, you would be proud that I made it today!' Don't let the Grumps get you down!

LOL!!!
No, I didn't let her!

I enjoyed the thought of the enormous queue behind me- I went shopping after, to get pressies for mum :) and then went home. But she had to stay and serve that queue! HEHEHEHE

Oh Helena dearest...how sad for you to have to endure her mood.
For us those types entice us to make them smile before we are gone.
We smile because we love life no matter how it gets us down.
Christmas is a season that stay in my heart all year round. I have had a candy cane hanging on my tea cup chandelier since 1995 to help remind me of that. So a card is welcome at any time from your talented hands...
Much love from the cozy cottage...please know how much you have been in my thoughts this past six weeks.

Hahahaha, sorry, I know I shouldn't laugh, but I'll bet she is a regular bundle of joy to spend Christmas with, eh? (Just pity the poor relatives..)

Glad you didn't let the miserable old moo get you down - when you make a work of art such as is the cards you create, any time of the year is a perfect time to receive one (so there)!

I think you've been wonderful to even think of other people when you've got so much on your plate already. I will probably get moaned at tomorrow as I have a parcel to post to my stepmum!
