2 quite different cards...
I tried Twitter this morning. I lasted about 2 hours. Sometimes you just know when something isn't for you!
I am fighting a cold. Luvbug returned to work just recently and already the screaming brats dear children in his class gave him a bug to bring home. It's mostly throaty and shivery. Do you think it could be Swine Flu? If it is, and I eat bacon and eggs, is that cannibalism? Tough if it is, cos that's what I'm going to have for lunch HAHAHA.
Here is a card I made for Alex, my eldest nephew, who reached the grand old age of 9 last week:A Penny Black mouse, instead of a hedgehog, for a change!
And this one is for his mum, who has a birthday next week:I coloured the image with my new Bruynzeel Sakura water colour pencils (much better than my Derwents and a bargain in a sale).
The stamped image is from Stampin' Up! and was a sample sent to me by a SU rep.

I made that second one yesterday. It was nice to do some crafting again. I really must get stuck in. I have about 40 "toppers" ready for making into cards. (Ibeati, I haven't forgotten your order! It's almost done!)

That is a deep question about swine flu and bacon! My Daughter-in-law's doctor told her that the Swine flu is really just a bad head cold. It is not as bad as they expected it to be! Feel better, soon
Hi Helena, lovely cards.
As for twitter, you don't really spend time on it, you just nip in and out but eventally it becomes quite interesting. It also gets better when you are not talking to yourself all the time, lol!
Hi Helena!
I try Twitter once in a while, but I have nothing quick and snappy to say. I think it might not be for me either.
I just love the birthday cards you made. They are perfect!
I'm sorry you are sick! When my daughter was younger and I worked in her school's library we got sick all the time! Little kids are germ factories I swear!
I'm glad you like your little pressies. I got the house idea from a book called "In this House". There is another one called "In this Garden." They are really fun mixed media collage books. I saw them in the library and just looked through them over and over again.
I loved the little kitty card you are making. She is so sweet! I didn't know Sakura made pencils. I like their markers a lot.
How are you feeling? I must admit I am still in the down swing of things. I can't seem to shake it off. I'm hoping you are feeling more up now. I think of you so much and I worry. It's nice to see you being creative. I think it does help somewhat with keeping the mind active.
Well, I typed a novel again!
Take care Dear One!
Love and Hugs,
Lorianna
Hope you feel better soon, Helena. Here, the government has introduced swine flu vaccine for everyone. Are they doing this in Britain? LOL on the egg-and-bacon question!
Lovely cards as always :)
Dearest Helena what a sweet surprise Lorianna sent to you...you must be so happy to have her as a devoted careing friend...I know that I am. I love the house books and the Halloween card she designed.
I really like the way you designed the cards for your family today...the flowers are so colorful and fit so well. You have such a natural talent for design.
Please be well and enjoy that chocolate.
Your devoted Miss Peach and mommy Karla

These are both lovely!
And thanks for leaving me a comment on my blog: It's been far too long since I was last here :)
Hope your cold is better soon, a lot of it about unfortunately. Still, better than the dreaded flu !
Hi Helena
Beautiful cards.
Thank you so for visiting over at my place and for your sweet words about my creations.
Have a lovely day.
Tina
Gorgeous card Helena and love the design and detail, the colours are beautiful.
Hugs Linda
Your cards are little works of art. I sure wouldn't think a recipient of one would ever throw one away! Love your sense of humor - you eat that bacon! I haven't tried twitter. I don't need to be confused by something new at the moment. I'm doing well enough at that without twitter.
