What if...

I wrote in reply to Stardust in the comments section....I am trying to adopt a sort of Buiddhist approach, of acceptance, and of not fighting what I cannot change. It will be easier when I stop kicking. Thank you all for your support, your comments and emails, and for stopping by to catch up.

This morning I had an odd thought about the religion thing.
What if it's like this. Like a goldfish bowl?

Maybe we are the fish, the universe is the water, and the bowl is "god".

The bowl is holding the universe and us in its protection. the bowl is so clear it seems invisible and we don't see it well enough to always believe it is there.

That's my girl! You got it right on the nail! Don't break the bowl...but even it you do. God will scoop you right up and put you in another one.
God is with you always even when you are not with him...he knows your heart and it is alright to be angry and shout.
Love you so much dearest Helena...

Ok, then we must ask Bowl God for some tea leaves in our habitat. =)

Sob, scream, thrash it out anytime. Rainbow always comes after the rain. Thinking of you this moment. Hugsss...

I like that idea very much. We swim about in the water - sometimes it's deep, sometimes it's shallow and calm but it's all what we encounter along the way and how we deal with it. All within the protection of the bowl. Thanks Helena.

On Self-Knowledge
Kahlil Gibran
Your hearts know in silence the secrets of the days and the nights.
But your ears thirst for the sound of your heart's knowledge.
You would know in words that which you have always known in thought.
You would touch with your fingers the naked body of your dreams.

And it is well you should.
The hidden well-spring of your soul must needs rise and run murmuring to the sea;
And the treasure of your infinite depths would be revealed to your eyes.
But let there be no scales to weigh your unknown treasure;
And seek not the depths of your knowledge with staff or sounding line.
For self is a sea boundless and measureless.

Say not, "I have found the truth," but rather, "I have found a truth."
Say not, "I have found the path of the soul." Say rather, "I have met the soul walking upon my path."
For the soul walks upon all paths.
The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed.
The soul unfolds itself like a lotus of countless petals.

I think a fishbowl is a pretty good analogy but I wouldn't make God as the bowl. God is the one who provides the bowl(universe) and the food. We are the ones who live together in the bowl fighting or getting along and how we fare depends on whether we try to grab all the food or share it so all can be fed and healthy. That's my view.
